Emerging Artist Competition | April 27th – June 30th | Free entry

Have you ever been curious about the potential of your art in the digital space but lack the resources to do so?
This competition invites you to submit your best artwork to be converted into an NFT project, with the assistance of our developers.
We are offering 2 x $1000 grants ($AUD) to provide you with the support you need to launch and evolve your unique art pieces. The prizes will be made up of $500 deposit to your account, Web 3 developer support, consultation, PR and content written about you as an artist and various other support tools. The funds must be used to further your career as an NFT artist.

Meet our panel of judges

GT Sewell

GT has operated successful galleries, advising and mentoring thousands of emerging, mid-career, and established artists across both the traditional and digital art worlds.

GT has designed and created major public art events for corporate and non-profit enterprises, including hosting the Melbourne leg of Australia’s first cryptoart exhibition. He has over 20 years’ experience as an artist, curator and digital fine art printer.

Deeply immersed in the digital art and blockchain realms since 2017, GT has helped advise and onboard artists both nationally and globally.

He has been instrumental in guiding companies and projects, helping them with concepts and strategies to launch into the crypto and NFT space. GT understands what creators need to navigate and build a strong presence in this ecosystem.

Jane Rolls

Jane has worked in the design and creative world for over 20 years. Working as a project manager for one of Australia’s leading retail brands, Jane has worked with global brands like Marvel, Disney & DC, along with cultural institutions such as NGV, State Library of Victoria & National Archives.

Jane has established an extensive network of artists, collectors and institutions in Australia and overseas through her curatorial roles. Having built successful galleries from conception to delivery, she has a trusted presence with a high profile in the contemporary art scene.

Being involved in the cryptoart space since 2017, she is recognised as a reputable collector liaison and advisor to many emerging and established artists in the digital art marketplace.

Mike Fairbairn

Michael is the Associate Director of Business Operations and Engagement at the Blockchain Innovation Hub at RMIT University. He has worked with a range of startups within the digital economy space.

The market is growing at such a rapid space, Michael will help:

• Understand what the future of the NFT space could look like

• What kinds of people/skills/projects are going to make it

• Understand how collaboration, risk, failure, community and other elements of the NFT space work and integrate

Joan Westenberg

Joan is a Web3 / NFT writer, angel investor, communicator, and creative director. She is the founder of the branding and creative firm Studio Self. Her approach to messaging, communication, and semiotics has built her reputation as a writer, and she has been named as one of the leading startup voices in Australia.

Your art pieces will be reviewed by a highly regarded industry judging panel. All artists will receive detailed feedback on their submissions regardless of the outcome.
